The town’s market hall was completed in 2014. It is an eleven-storey high horseshoe-shaped building with façades decorated with wire ropes and glass panes. The ceilings of the hall are decorated with works of art by Dutch artist Arno Coenen.

For nature lovers, a visit to Hoge Veluwe National Park, about 110 kilometres away, is worthwhile. Here you can expect a breathtaking mixture of extensive heathlands and dry grassland on sandy soil, interspersed by dense forests. There are also dark ponds, sand dunes and red deer, as well as rare bird species that make you forget that you are just under an hour from the nearest big city.
