Of course, no stay in Ancona would be complete without a trip to the seaside. On a motorcycle, you can reach the village of Portonovo in about 20 minutes, where a beautiful beach awaits. For a longer tour, you could simply ride along the coast until you discover an especially lovely stretch of sand where you’d like to have a break. If you head inland away from the coast, you can get to Rome, the capital of Italy, in three and a half hours. This route will lead you along winding country roads through the marvellous national park, Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga. There, expect to see impressive plateaus with lush green grass, rare flora and fauna and crystal-clear mountain lakes glistening in the mountain valleys.
