Motorcycling tour through Mühlviertel and Wachau

Your two-day Wachau motorcycling tour starts at BMW Motorrad Centre Vienna in the north of the city. The route then very quickly heads out of the city, through Wienerwald along the Danube, heading west to the Wachau region. Near Mautern, you then transfer to the other side of the Danube. In Weißenkirchen, it’s time to climb! Up into the mountains via Jauerling and down to the Danube along side roads with little traffic, before heading back up towards Waldviertel. Our recommended stop-off point Zur Roten Säge in St. Oswald is once again located along a delightful local road.

Great cornering on your motorcycling tour in the Wachau-Mühlviertel district

After having taken a bite, you head from there via Nöchling, Dorfstetten, Königswiesen and Groß Gerungs to Liebenau, reaching the destination of day one, Hotel Rockenschaub (approx. 300 km, around 5 h 30 min. riding time), where bikers are more than welcome. On the second day of the Mühlviertel motorcycling tour, you then head back to Vienna on a different route. This route heads via Unterweißenbach, Reichenstein, Schwertberg, Perg and Mühlviertel nature park back to the Danube and Grein. On the road, you will pass various opportunities inviting you to take a break. Countless bends later, you cross Bärnkopf on your way eastwards. From Langenlois, the route then takes you back to the capital on wide roads to BMW Motorrad Centre Vienna, the starting point of your Wachau motorcycling tour.
