Schedule your arrival at Chiang Mai Airport to arrive no later than 13.00. Our partner will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the hotel. At 15.00, everyone will transfer to our partner Bike Tour Asia for a welcome briefing. They will be able to answer all questions and your motorcycle will also be handed over to you there. You'll then ride the short distance back to the hotel. A welcome dinner with the group and a discussion about the trip is organised for the evening. Overnight accommodation is in Chiang Mai.
Today your motorcycling trip gets underway with a trip of some 300 km through Thailand. You leave Chiang Mai and head east to Phayao. The route starts along some undulating roads, a good way to get you used to riding in Thailand and your motorcycle. You will then be treated to a traditional Thai lunch on the lake in Phayao. The route then continues on to Nan. The second half of the day is dominated by winding mountain passes and remote roads. Experience the beauty of the country as you ride through many Thai villages and rice fields. A restaurant on the Nan River is reserved for dinner. Accommodation this evening is also in Nan.
Today's motorcycling stage is around 210 km. The route heads for Bo Kluea, offering some of the best riding experiences in Thailand. You will have an unforgettable riding experience on classic, winding roads that are largely traffic-free. Near the border with Laos, you stop off to visit the tiny village of Bo Kluea, nestling in a picturesque valley. En route to the Phu National Park, you will ride through breathtaking scenery and savour the empty roads into the mountains. A visit to the Wat Phumin Temple is planned for the afternoon, offering plenty of time to admire the remarkable architecture of the temple. Dinner awaits you in a typical Thai setting on the banks of the Nan River. Your accommodation is once again in Nan.
Today's route heads into the remote hinterland of Thailand. You leave Nan on smaller secondary roads heading in a north-westerly direction. Looking around, the landscape is breathtaking, as you pass rice fields and orchards, discovering small farms on the way. Before the most spectacular section of your route today, which is around 250 km in total, you recharge your batteries with a local lunch in a picturesque restaurant. The route includes innumerable curves and breathtaking landscapes. This magnificent section is guaranteed to quench your thirst for adventure before you head back to your hotel in Chiang Rai. Before checking in, be sure to visit the remarkable Wat Rong Khun (White Temple).
Today is a day of relaxation, a time for extensive spa treatments and pampering. Start the day of rest with a delicious breakfast in the hotel and spend the day around the hotel pool or in the spa. Explore the city by foot and discover the diversity of the many markets. After all the kilometres on the motorcycle, a walk will undoubtedly be very welcome. However, if you have still not had enough motorcycling, our partner also offers an optional half-day 110 km excursion to Doi Chang. Wonder at the great views, breathtaking landscapes and coffee plantations on your route. Overnight accommodation is once again in Chiang Rai.
Today's 220 km trip takes you along the mighty Mekong River past the legendary Golden Triangle, where the three borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. Explore the river region by boat or visit Laos (no visa required, just bring a passport) before continuing your Thailand motorcycling trip to Mae Sai. Back on your motorcycle, the route from Mae Sai passes across the mountains to Doi Tung, a Chinese settlement built by a Chinese National Army department, and on to Doi Mae Salong. Your route passes rolling hills, rice fields and farms before heading to today's hotel, the resort in Thaton. You follow the Kok River to reach today's destination and your hotel. Enjoy a well-deserved refreshing dip in the pool.
Magnificent riding pleasure awaits you today. A number of sights and many winding roads with varying degrees of difficulty await you throughout the day. Your 240 km motorcycling tour starts at the resort and heads over the valley to the Kok River with a magnificent view of Wat Thaton. Be sure to take off motorcycling boots to visit the temple of Wat Thaton. After this highlight, you continue along the main road to your short coffee break at the Hua Luk Royal Project. Lunch today is at The Nest Resort with beautiful views of the limestone mountains.
Recharged, your route goes from Mae Tang and heads into the mountains to Pai. This is the exciting start of the road to Mae Hong Son, famous for its 1,864 curves with varying degrees of difficulty. You make a final stop at the elephant camp near Pai before riding to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day by the pool at the resort. You round off the evening with a beautiful sunset that can be enjoyed while strolling through the pedestrian zone. Be sure to try the delicious Thai food from the street stalls or many restaurants. Your accommodation this evening is in Pai.
Today's route climbs many hills and winds its way round countless bends. Magnificent scenery accompanies you throughout the day. You head along the second part of the road, famous for its 1,864 bends of varying difficulty. You are surrounded by beautiful mountainous landscapes all the way to lunch in Ban Rak Thai. Lunch is at a wonderful Chinese restaurant on the small lake. Ban Rak Thai literally means "Thai-loving village", located on a lake on the border with Myanmar.
After lunch, you continue on to the pier on the Nan River. You park up the motorcycles and then the whole group boards a vessel for a picturesque boat ride on the Pai River. The crossing takes about 20 minutes to the village of Karen Long Neck. You stop off to visit the village of women who wear heavy brass rings around their necks, forearms and shins. You return by boat to the pier and continue your motorcycle trip through Thailand to the nearby resort, your overnight accommodation. You can bring the evening to a relaxing end with a chilled drink by the bar.
You have around 300 km to ride on your last day, initially leaving Mae Hong Son early in the morning and heading to Khun Yuam. Prepare to enjoy the adventure of a tremendous winding road with broad curves. En route, in Khun Yuam, you take a short break to visit the local museum and stop off at an excellent coffee bar next door. From Khun Yuam, you continue to Mae Chaem on exciting, winding side roads. Thai lunch is served in a small traditional restaurant. Your next destination is the summit of Doi Inthanon, Thailand's highest mountain with a height of 2,565 metres. Your next stop is at the impressive 80-metre high Wachiratharn Waterfall. The final stage of the day passes through the Doi Inthanon National Park. With just another 50 km to go, you head back from the valley to our partner's service centre in Chiang Mai, where you will arrive at around 17.00. Enjoy your final night and your last night in Chiang Mai.
